Awards:
We’re excited to recognize the hard work and achievements of our runners! Please review the information below so you don’t miss your well-deserved award.
Please note that all awards must be picked up at the post-race food and drink area, near the Royal Kona Resort Luau Grounds stage. All awards will be available for pick up in this location beginning at approximately 7:30 am on race day only. Finisher medals for each distance will be give at the finish line. Awards and Finisher Medals will NOT be mailed after race day.
Overall Awards:
The top three finishers overall, by gender, for the Marathon, Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and 5K will receive an award sponsored by UCC Kona Coffee. These will be awarded during the Awards Ceremony at the Royal Kona Resort Stage, beginning at 9:00 am. Overall Awards are based on chip time.
Age Group Awards:
The top three finishers in each age group, by gender, for the Marathon, Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and 5K will receive an award sponsored by UCC Kona Coffee. These will be handed out at the Awards Tent in the post-race food and drink area, beginning at 7:30 am. Age Group Awards are based on chip time.
Age groups:
Marathon: 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Half Marathon: 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Quarter Marathon: 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+
5K: 8-11, 12-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+
Finisher Medals:
All participants in every race will receive a finisher’s medal specific to their event once they cross the finish line.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO “DOUBLE DIPPING” OF AWARDS. OVERALL FINISHERS IN THE TOP THREE WILL NOT RECEIVE AGE GROUP AWARDS IN ADDITION TO THEIR OVERALL AWARD.
All awards must be picked up on race day at the Awards Stage or the Awards Tent before 1:30 pm. If you cannot be present, you may designate someone to pick up your award. You must show your bib number in order to pick up any award. (Please also see the Awards FAQ page)
